THE CHOREOGRAPHY is a participatory dance performance where the audience follows instructions from a guiding voice using headphones. The performance is available in 15 languages – each member of the audience selects their preferred language and participates in the performance together.
THE CHOREOGRAPHY is a performance filled with galloping horses, confetti, bold movements, imaginary hamsters, and dance. The piece explores the world through movement and examines how the way we move can affect our thoughts and what we see and feel. THE CHOREOGRAPHY is a participatory performance based entirely on the audience's participation. All participants receive a pair of headphones, and a guiding voice gives them instructions on how to relate to one's body and to one another. In other words, there are no dancers in the performance. Instead, the members of the audience create THE CHOREOGRAPHY together. THE CHOREOGRAPHY is available in 15 languages. Everyone can listen to the same instructions and have a shared experience without having to speak the same language. New languages are added continuously.
Aimed at an audience 10 years and older.
"The personal choice is fundamental, and each instruction is voluntary to perform. With an initial assurance that 'everything will turn out right within The Choreography', a firm foundation is created, and needed, in order to dare to discover both the inner conflicts and the fields of tension, and also the spread of joy and building of community that emerges during the act's half-hour."Choreography where everything turns out right - Sara Meidel - Västerbottens-Kuriren 2017
